A Meeting at the Crossroads

A Pathworking of Union with Hecate

Welcome Friends to Hecate’s Crossroads…

This pathworking provides a point of connection to the Triune nature of the Goddess Hecate as Maiden, Mother and Crone. This pathworking may be used at any time, or repeated in conjunction with a New, Full or 4th Qrt Dark Moon phase day to amplify its effects.

You do not need to have an altar dedicated to Hecate, or anything other than yourself and a quiet and comfortable space where you will not be disturbed. If you wish to use candles as a focal point, my recommendation would be to have 3/pillar candles in the colors of white (Maiden), red (Mother) and black (Crone). Any other symbols that you wish to use in decorating a focal altar should be those that you feel as being strongly connected to Hecate’s energy in any or all of Her forms.

Suggestions to receive the most benefit from use of this transcript:

Good – Read through the pathworking each time you want to use the pathworking.  Make note of pausing in the reading wherever it feels like more time would be spent in the specific train of thought.

Better – Read through the pathworking several times and as you do so, try to set up key points that you wish to have stored in the memory.  In this way, you can create your own scenarios using the structure of the original pathworking without having to read through the text each time.

Best – Employ the physicality of recording the pathworking in your own voice. This action produces an effective and recognizable neurological imprint that serves to induce physiological response and imprint to listen to. You will be benefitting from the experience at both the mental and physical levels.

Making the Recording – When you are ready to make the recording be sure to select a space where you will not be interrupted and has minimal background noise.

Be sure to speak slowly (more so, if you tend to speak quickly and do not annunciate well) and clearly and to give pause where it would naturally occur if you were reading aloud.  There may be some points in the meditation where you will want to spend several minutes in the locale that is being presented.  Remember to give an adequate time of silence for this. * Do not stop the recording. Simply stop speaking, allowing for an extended space of silence on the recording and allow the amount of time you wish to pass before you resume the reading of the pathworking.

Regardless of what method you use, remain open and receptive to what presents to you beyond what has been scripted through the pathworking. Having a journal to record your impressions is a valuable exercise, particularly if you plan to return to a chosen pathworking for repeated exploration.

May the blessings of Hecate in all of Her forms guide you!
